Little bit of a change in the **Magic Murder Bag** Lineup:
A Scandalous Providence by E. Frank Tupper.
New Seeds of Contemplation by Thomas Merton.
Process Theology: A Guide for the Perplexed by Bruce Epperly.
The Shadow of Fate by John Scritchfield.
The Giver by Lois Lowery
The other books have been returned to their respective libraries, including mine, either completed or to be read another time (with the exception of Console Wars, which I’ve decided to continue on audiobook).
Speaking of audiobooks, I was getting into the Divergent series for a little while there, but I’ve honestly lost interest at this point, mostly because the narrator chosen to read them just rubbed me the wrong way. I never really thought it would matter, but the woman who narrates the series makes Triss sound like a wimpy teenage girl trying to make herself look strong, rather than bringing out the strong character she already is. I may pick up this series again in print form at some point, but until then, no real interest in it. Sorry, Divergent fans!
Thoughts on Present Discontents
I intend to put in 60 hours this week at work (five twelve-hour shifts consecutively, including the holiday; going to be brutal), but I should have a week’s worth (meaning three) of posts lined up for you droogs here (that’s the great thing about WordPress; scheduled posting!). In the meantime, pray for sanity and stamina as I plunge headlong into work!
